Wild Beasts

Wild Beasts were an English indie rock band formed in 2006 in Kendal, Cumbria. The band was comprised of members Hayden Thorpe (vocals, guitar, keyboard), Ben Little (guitar, keyboard), Chris Talbot (drums, vocals), and Tom Fleming (bass, vocals). Known for their distinctive sound characterized by Thorpe's striking falsetto vocals and richly textured instrumentation, Wild Beasts carved out a niche in the alternative music scene. Their debut album, *Limbo, Panto*, was released in 2008 to critical acclaim, showcasing the band's avant-garde approach to indie rock. This was followed by *Two Dancers* in 2009, which was nominated for the Mercury Prize and solidified their reputation for crafting artful and innovative compositions. Subsequent albums, including *Smother* (2011), *Present Tense* (2014), and *Boy King* (2016), saw the band exploring themes of masculinity, desire, and societal norms, while experimenting with electronic sounds. Wild Beasts announced their split in 2017, leading to a farewell tour and the release of the live album *Last Night All My Dreams Came True* in 2018. Their legacy remains marked by their unique blend of poetic lyricism and adventurous musicality.
