The View

The View is an indie rock band from Dundee, Scotland, formed in 2005. The original lineup includes Kyle Falconer on lead vocals and guitar, Kieren Webster on bass and vocals, Pete Reilly on guitar, and Steven Morrison on drums. Known for their energetic performances and catchy melodies, The View quickly gained attention in the UK's indie scene. Their debut album, *Hats Off to the Buskers*, released in 2007, catapulted them to fame, reaching number one on the UK Albums Chart. The album featured singles such as "Same Jeans" and "Wasted Little DJs", earning the band a nomination for the prestigious Mercury Prize. The View's music is characterized by its infectious hooks, a blend of punk rock energy, and a touch of Scottish charm, drawing influences from bands like The Libertines and Oasis. Over the years, they have released several more albums, including *Which Bitch?* (2009) and *Cheeky for a Reason* (2012), each showcasing their evolving sound and consistent lyrical wit.
