Stereo MCs
Stereo MCs are an English electronic music group, best known for their innovative fusion of hip-hop, electronic, and alternative dance music. Formed in 1985 in London, the band is led by vocalist Rob Birch and DJ/producer Nick Hallam. They quickly gained a reputation for their dynamic live performances and groundbreaking use of samples and beats. Their breakthrough came with the 1992 album "Connected," which featured hits like "Connected," "Step It Up," and "Ground Level." The album was both a commercial and critical success, earning them several awards and solidifying their place in the international music scene. Known for their socially conscious lyrics and catchy rhythms, Stereo MCs have been influential in shaping the sound of British dance music. After the success of "Connected," the band took a hiatus but returned in the early 2000s with albums like "Deep Down & Dirty" and "Double Bubble."
