Nubya Garcia

Nubya Garcia is a prominent British saxophonist, composer, and bandleader, distinguished for her vibrant contributions to the contemporary jazz scene. Born in 1991 in London to a Guyanese mother and Trinidadian father, she was immersed in a rich tapestry of musical influences from an early age. Garcia honed her craft at the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and the Royal Academy of Music. She emerged as a central figure in the burgeoning London jazz community, celebrated for her dynamic performances and genre-blending compositions. Garcia's debut EP, "Nubya's 5ive," released in 2017, garnered critical acclaim and positioned her as a leading voice in modern jazz.
