Lanterns on the Lake

Lanterns on the Lake is an English indie rock band originating from Newcastle upon Tyne, formed in 2007. Known for their atmospheric sound that blends elements of rock, folk, and ambient music, the band has garnered acclaim for its lush arrangements and emotive performances. The core members include Hazel Wilde (vocals, guitar, and piano), Paul Gregory (guitar and production), and Oliver Ketteringham (drums). Over the years, the lineup has seen several changes, contributing to the evolving sound of the group. The band self-released two EPs before signing with Bella Union, a well-regarded independent record label, in 2010. Their debut studio album, "Gracious Tide, Take Me Home," was released in 2011 and marked the beginning of their journey into broader recognition with its haunting melodies and introspective lyrics.
