Ian McNabb
Ian McNabb is a British singer-songwriter and musician, best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the band The Icicle Works. Born on November 3, 1960, in Liverpool, England, McNabb rose to prominence in the early 1980s when The Icicle Works achieved success with their hit single "Love Is a Wonderful Colour" and their eponymous debut album. The band, which combined elements of new wave, post-punk, and alternative rock, garnered a strong following in the UK and the US, solidifying McNabb's reputation as a talented songwriter and performer. After The Icicle Works disbanded in 1990, McNabb embarked on a solo career, releasing albums such as "Truth and Beauty" in 1993. This album featured the critically acclaimed "Great Dreams of Heaven." Over the years, McNabb's solo work has demonstrated his versatility, drawing from rock, folk, and acoustic traditions. In addition to his solo projects, McNabb has collaborated with musicians including Mike Scott of The Waterboys and members of Crazy Horse.
