I Am Kloot

I Am Kloot is an English alternative rock band formed in Manchester in 1999. The trio consists of vocalist and guitarist John Bramwell, bassist Peter Jobson, and drummer Andy Hargreaves. Known for their melancholic and introspective lyrics, the band's sound blends elements of indie rock with poignant acoustic undertones. Their debut album, *Natural History*, was released in 2001 and quickly garnered attention for its raw, emotional depth. I Am Kloot's subsequent albums, such as *I Am Kloot* (2003) and *Gods and Monsters* (2005), continued to establish the band's reputation for crafting evocative melodies and poetic lyricism. A turning point in their career came with the 2010 release of *Sky at Night*, which was nominated for the Mercury Prize and produced by Guy Garvey and Craig Potter of Elbow. The album marked a richer, more expansive sound compared to their earlier works. Throughout their career, I Am Kloot has maintained a dedicated following and critical acclaim, praised for their ability to convey complex emotions with simplicity and sincerity. They remain an integral part of Manchester's rich musical tapestry.
