Goldfrapp

Goldfrapp is an English electronic music duo formed in 1999, consisting of lead vocalist Alison Goldfrapp and multi-instrumentalist Will Gregory. Known for their eclectic sound, they draw from a diverse range of musical genres including synth-pop, glam rock, and folk. The duo first rose to prominence with their debut album, *Felt Mountain* (2000), which showcased a blend of cinematic soundscapes and ethereal vocals, earning them critical acclaim and a Mercury Prize nomination. Their sound evolved significantly with the release of their second album, *Black Cherry* (2003), which embraced a more synth-driven and dance-oriented style, featuring hits like "Strict Machine" and "Train." This evolution continued with their third album, *Supernature* (2005), producing the worldwide hit "Ooh La La." Goldfrapp’s ability to transform with each release has been a hallmark of their career, shifting from the electro-pop vibrancy of *Head First* (2010) to the more introspective and folk-infused tones of *Tales of Us* (2013). Throughout their career, Goldfrapp has been praised for their innovative approach to music and immersive live performances, cementing their place as a distinctive force in the electronic music landscape.
