Georgia Barnes, known professionally as Georgia, is a British musician, producer, and songwriter hailing from London. The daughter of Neil Barnes, one-half of electronic duo Leftfield, Georgia was surrounded by music from an early age. She initially pursued a career in drumming, contributing as a session drummer for artists like Kwes and Kate Tempest. In 2015, Georgia released her self-titled debut album which showcased her multifaceted talents as both a vocalist and producer, blending elements of pop, electronic, and indie music. Her sound is characterized by dynamic beats, catchy melodies, and an incisive exploration of personal and social themes. Georgia's breakthrough came with her second album, "Seeking Thrills," released in 2020. This album found critical acclaim and featured the infectious single "About Work the Dancefloor," which drew inspiration from '80s synth-pop and modern dance music.
