Ezra Collective

Ezra Collective is a dynamic London-based jazz ensemble known for their innovative fusion of jazz with afrobeat, hip-hop, and other contemporary music styles. Formed in 2012, the group gained widespread recognition for its energetic live performances and genre-defying sound that appeals to jazz enthusiasts and newcomers alike. The band includes Femi Koleoso on drums, T.J. Koleoso on bass, Joe Armon-Jones on keys, Dylan Jones on trumpet, and James Mollison on saxophone. Ezra Collective's early success was punctuated by their winning of the Yamaha Jazz Experience competition and their influential performances at renowned festivals like Glastonbury and Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club. They released their debut EP, "Chapter 7," in 2016, followed by the acclaimed "Juan Pablo: The Philosopher" EP in 2017. Their debut album, "You Can't Steal My Joy," released in 2019, further showcased their ability to blend diverse influences into a cohesive and vibrant sound. With collaborations featuring artists such as Jorja Smith and Loyle Carner, Ezra Collective has become a pivotal force in the contemporary jazz scene, celebrated for pushing the boundaries of the genre and bringing jazz to a new, younger audience.
