Estelle Fanta Swaray, known professionally as Estelle, is a British singer, songwriter, and actress born on January 18, 1980, in London, England. She rose to fame with her unique blend of R&B, soul, reggae, and hip-hop influences. Estelle's breakthrough came with the release of her second studio album, "Shine," in 2008, featuring the hit single "American Boy" with Kanye West, which garnered international acclaim and won a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration.
