Cate Le Bon is a Welsh musician, known for her eclectic style that traverses multiple genres, including folk, rock, and avant-garde. Born Cate Timothy on March 4, 1983, in Penboyr, Carmarthenshire, Wales, she spent her early life immersed in the rich cultural tapestry of her homeland. Her musical journey began in earnest in 2007 when she moved to Cardiff, where she was discovered by Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals. Her debut album, "Me Oh My," was released in 2009, showcasing her distinctive voice and idiosyncratic songwriting. Le Bon's music is characterized by its experimental approach and a penchant for surreal lyrics, often drawing comparisons to the likes of Nico and Syd Barrett.
