Basement Jaxx

Basement Jaxx is an acclaimed electronic music duo from London, England, consisting of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe. Formed in 1994, the duo quickly gained a reputation for their innovative fusion of house, funk, and eclectic dance music. They first emerged on the club scene with their debut EP, "EP1," released in 1995, which helped them establish a loyal underground following. Their breakthrough came with the release of their debut album "Remedy" in 1999, featuring hit singles such as "Red Alert" and "Rendez-Vu," which showcased their unique blend of vibrant beats and infectious melodies. Throughout the early 2000s, Basement Jaxx continued to gain critical and commercial success with albums like "Rooty" (2001) and "Kish Kash" (2003), the latter earning them a Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album in 2004.
